Mayor - Don Yanick Deputy Mayor - Mervin Starzyk Wayne Myhill Dennis Green Dennis has been married to Shelly for the past 5 years and they have three fantastic grandchildren who live in St. Albert, Alberta. Dennis has been involved in banking and lending for much of his life but currently is enjoying semi-retirement while doing major renovations to their house. "I firmly believe that our region has so much to offer with the Lake and the new subdivisions, 3 major highways and a rich diverse cultural heritage, golf course, camping and so much more." One of Dennis's favorite saying around the Council table is.... "It's a matter of pride!... the Municipality of Shoal Lake has a great deal of PRIDE and will continue to build on that foundation." Designations: EMO, Finance, Parkland & Shoal Lake Libraries, Planning District, By Law Review, Safety, Waste Management & LandFill, Water and Waste Water. Volunteer - Board of Director for local Golf Course. Ernie Peleshok Ernie has been married to Margo for 41 years, has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. With roots in Oakburn and having recently retired in Shoal Lake, Ernie has a vested interest in both communities. Prior to retiring Ernie was in Sales for 25 years in addition to farming. Ernie understands the needs and necessities of the rural areas and has served on various boards and committees in the past including Oakburn Game and Fish, Oakburn Fire Department, Oakburn Rink, Menzie Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Hall Committees. In Brandon, Ernie served as First Vice of the Brandon Youth Softball Association and was also Director of Regina Fastball Association in Regina for a number of years. Currently serving on the Prairie Mountain Museum board which the public can see in a major undertaking. "I believe if you let your name stand or you volunteer to do a job for your community, a commitment of 100% should be devoted and I am willing to devote that time to make the Municipality of Shoal Lake a success." for commercial and domestic garbage is on Tuesday & Friday of each week. What can and cannot be picked up: Furniture or anything that wouldn’t fit in with your household garbage. Yard waste is specified by the town, and a pick-up date is usually posted in local paper. |

happy to announce that Curbside Recycling Pickup is available to all
residents and businesses Recycled items include: Newspapers - including flyers & inserts. Aluminum Containers - including all rigid aluminum containers. Glass Containers - including all liquor bottles and glass jars. Plastic Containers - including soft drink bottles, milk jugs, food products and personal care product containers, and laundry detergent containers. Steel Containers - including all steel food/beverage cans. Magazines/Catalogues - including glossy paper publications. Gable Top Beverage Cartons - including milk, milk products and juice cartons. Boxboard - including all paperboard boxes (e.g. cereal boxes, laundry detergent boxes, toy boxes, show boxes, etc.) Items Not accepted Hard cover books (if cover is removed will accept) Tin foil of any kind Styrofoam Glass from windows Plastic bags and film #3 plastic (PVC) Non-food containers IE: anti-freeze, motor oil containers General metal scrap Computers, TV’s another electronics Please Note: Labels will not have to be removed from containers, but all containers must be rinsed out. |
