Conservation Farms are located one mile east of Oakburn, Manitoba.  This fourth generation family farm straddles Highway 45 and the Trans Canada Trail.

In the past, the primary activity was mixed farming.  Recently, the emphasis has switched more to grain, oil seed, and forage production.

The owners are involved in the development of a nature centre (marsh, woodlot) on the Oak River, which crosses the south end of the farm.  In cooperation with Ducks Unlimited Canada, approximately 100 acres contain water, marsh, nesting islands, control structures, and flora and fauna in the natural state.  The grasses, trees, and water provide opportunities for photography, hiking, bird watching, and other activities associated with ecotourism.  Shooting sports take place during various seasons.

The farmyard is ideally suited for studies in all forms of agriculture, especially lawns, gardens, and shelter belts.

A large, modern farm house, along with a barn and shops are ideal facilities for craft workshops, and corporate retreats.
